Before getting started, gather all your equipment into one place.
Set up your Moccamaster by putting the filter paper into the brew basket and placing the jug onto the heat pad.
Place 250g/ml of filtered water into the water reservoir (fill to the 2 cup / 1/4 litre mark) and turn the machine on. This will rinse the filter paper and remove any unwanted paper flavour. Discard the water.
Place 1 x 30g sachet of coffee into the brew basket.
Add 500g of filtered water into the water reservoir (fill to the 4 cup / 1/2 litre mark) and switch on the machine.
Wait 1 minute. The coffee should now be covered with water. Stir the coffee until all the grounds are wet to ensure an even extraction. Place the lid on the brew basket.
After 5 minutes your coffee should be ready. You can now discard the spent coffee and filter paper. Serve immediately and enjoy.
