How to Make Iced Coffee with Ground Coffee

As summer approaches, it's time to leave behind the piping-hot brews and make the switch to an oh-so-refreshing iced coffee. But there's no need to leave the house for this icy cool glass.

With quality ground coffee and a few basic tools, you can easily make this cool-down favourite at home. So, read on to fine-tune your iced coffee-making skills with Artisan's ground speciality coffee...

Why Use Ground Coffee?

You may have used instant coffee in the past, but there's no match between instant and ground. Ground coffee simply offers a richer, more intense flavour than instant coffee, and when it comes to our collection you can expect flavourful blends that shine over ice - no syrup required.

How to Make Iced Coffee with Ground

  • Brew 300ml of filtered water with 30g of Artisan Coffee Co. ground coffee using a cafetière.
  • Stir the coffee after brewing, remove foam and floating grounds for clarity.

  • Let it steep for an additional minute before gently pressing the plunger.

  • Pour the brewed coffee over 200g of ice cubes in a jug.

  • Stir well to dissolve the ice, then pour into a glass filled with more ice.

  • Optional: Add a splash of milk or plant-based alternative to taste.

How to Make Ground Coffee Ice Cubes

Can't get enough coffee? Maintain our award-winning flavour profiles by using coffee ice cubes. Simply freeze some of the brewed ground coffee in an ice cube tray, and pop into your coffee when ready to serve. This prevents dilution and keeps your drink packed with our delicious chef-crafted flavours until the last sip.

Speaking of chefs, why not channel your inner Ashley Palmer-Watts by mixing and matching our ground coffee characters?  Use one for the ice cubes, and another for the coffee itself to create your own unique-tasting brew.

Iced Coffee Vs. Cold Brew

Love something stronger? Opt for an iced cold brew coffee. Unlike the ease of making iced coffee with ground, this drink requires to be prepared overnight. However, the result is arguably worth it with its exceptionally smooth and rich taste.
